Rose has gotten off to an extremely slow start this season, and wearing a mask while recovering from an orbital contusion could certainly explain his drop in efficiency. He's misfiring badly on his jump shot and he's resorted to exclusively attacking the basket, but he's having trouble finishing as well.
Rose is averaging 13.6 points per game on 37.7 percent shooting from the field and 15 percent from deep. He's being outplayed by backup Aaron Brooks, and the Bulls are 6.6 points per 100 possessions worse when Rose takes the floor.
