- Los Angles Lakers -
Although being listed as questionable, Kobe Bryant will be active in the starting lineup Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Black Mamba had "trouble walking" Tuesday, which kept him sidelined during the team's road trip against the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.
With Kobe being back, Veteran Metta World Peace will move back into his normal role coming off the bench for the Lakers.
- New Orleans Pelicans -
Going through a great deal of injuries already, New Orleans will be without their All-Star power forward Anthony Davis for the second game Friday against the Toronto Raptors.
Davis sustained a hip contusion during Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks, which forced him to sit out the team's loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. The loss brought the Pelicans record to 1-7 on the season.
After a one-game absence, Point Guard Jrue Holiday will return as he has been recovering from a leg injury that limited him to 40 games last season. Holiday is being held to 15 minutes per game while being restricted on back-to-backs.
New Orleans is already without Norris Cole and Tyreke Evans, and frontcourt players Omer Asik and Kendrick Perkins both have been in and out of the lineup. The injuries have shown considerably on defense as the Pelicans have a disappointing start to the season.
- Toronto Raptors -
The Toronto Raptors missed their newly inquired small forward DeMarre Carroll for three games with plantar fasciitis.
Carroll will be back in the starting lineup Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Air Canada Centre. Toronto has struggled on the defensive end without DeMarre Carroll, going 1-2 allowing 107.9 points per 100 possessions. That number dropsto 95.5 when he is in the Raptors lineup.
- Boston Celtics -
The Boston Celtics will once again be without guard Avery Bradley when they take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday Night.
Bradley sustained a bruised lower left leg injury during Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The injury kept him out of the Celtics' loss to the Pacers on Wednesday.
Boston's head coach stated "He did not look 100 percent to me and, just from a long-term perspective, it’s a strain, it’s a muscle strain, you just hesitate that it would get worse if he played if he’s not fully ready."
