Kevin Durant, Paul George named NBA Players of the Week

Indiana Pacers guard/forward Paul George and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant were named NBA western and eastern conference Players of the the Week during 11/23-11/30.

Pacers' George played three tremendous games during the week all resulting in wins for Indiana, the first came against the Washington Wizards. George made 14-19 shooting 73% from the field, while adding 7-8 shooting from behind the arc, 7-8 from the free throw line. Not only having a great shooting night from the field but had eight rebounds, four assists and two steals ending the game with his season-high 40 points

On 11/27 vs the Chicago Bulls, George had 33 points making 11-24 from the field and 4-10 from three-point range while adding 100% from the charity stripe 7-7. He also had 8 rebounds in the  104-92 win.

The All-Star continued his scoring outburst against the Los Angeles Lakers, being only one point away from his season-high with 39 points, as he shot 10-21, 47% from the field and 5-10, 50% from behind the arc. 

The Pacers are on a five game win streak, they will host the Los Angeles Clippers Dec. 2. One of these teams will no longer have their win streak after this game.

Kevin Durant came back from suffering an ankle injury  during his return home to Washington, which forced him to miss six games. In his return, the Thunder and Durant host the Utah Jazz, he shot 10-13 from the field 76%, and made 50% from behind the arc 5-10. Durant ended with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

Two days later visiting the Brooklyn Nets, the All-Star shot 11-18 from the field, 5-8 from behind the arc, and 3-4 from the charity stripe, ending the game with 30 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks.

The former scoring title winner had his best night of the 3 games when he played the Detroit Pistons, Durant shot 10-22 - 45% from the field and 4-9 - 44% from 3-point range, while not giving any points away at the free throw line making 10-10 ending with his season-high in points and rebounds, 34 points and 13 boards, and tied his season-high in blocks with 3.

The Thunder will play the Atlanta Hawks at the Phillips Arena.
