Golden State Warriors Road To Making History

Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors improve to 15-0 with 118-105 victory Sunday over the Denver Nuggets.

With being one win away from making history of their own, the Golden State Warriors have joined the 1948-49 Washington Capitols and 1993-94 Houston Rockets as the only other teams to hit the 15-0 start to a season.

Even though the Warriors are sharing the Record with the Rockets and Capitols, no NBA team has ever had a better start to a season as the number show. Number don't lie.

Dating back to the 2014-2015 season, Sunday's win marks the Warriors' 19th straight regular-season victory.

The defending NBA champions will return to Oracle Arena for their date with the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday on TNT as they strive to be the first team in NBA history to win their first 16 games of the season.

Sunday against the Nuggets, Klay Thompson led the way for Golden State, scoring 21 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including a game-high four made 3-pointers. Reigning league MVP Stephen Curry chipped in 19 points (his lowest scoring total of the season) and seven assists, while Harrison Barnes added 17 points, three steals and four steals in the win. This was Barnes' first game under 20 points in the last 3 games for the Warriors.

This 2015-2016 Warriors team is being measured to the great, some would say unstoppable 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls team, that won a NBA record 72 games and winning the NBA championship against the Seattle Supersonics (The first of the second three-peat).

Though this 2015-2016 Warriors team is being compared to the Bulls, critics and fans should not have them in the same boat yet, as that Bulls team had not only one three-peat but two in their time together. It should not be overlooked that we are witnessing the rise of a Warriors dynasty but the rings (3 or more) are not their YET, no comparison needs to be made at this time.
