VIDEO: Popovich, Sager heart warming reunion

Gregg Popovich

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is known for having a disliked attitude toward most of the media, using blunt, sarcastic remarks during sideline and end-of-game interviews.

It's different with TNT reporter Craig Sager, though, who returned to work this season after fighting acute myeloid leukemia. Popovich and Sager have an Abbott and Costello-like bond, with several of their back-and-forths being comedy gold.

Prior to Thursday's game between the Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies, Sager headed to the locker room to have his first meeting with Popovich in quite some time:

Their first in-game interview was just as memorable. They haven't missed a beat:

Mario Chalmers to the Memphis Grizzlies

Mario 'Rio' Chalmers
The Miami Heat and Mario Chalmers have gone their separate ways after 7 years together.

Chalmers averaged 42.2% from the field and 36% from behind the arc, as he helped Miami accomplish many wins in his career.

The Miami Heat are finalizing the trade of point guard Mario Chalmers and forward James Ennis to the Memphis Grizzlies for Beno Udrih and Jarnell Stokes, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Reportedly the Heat will receive a future second-round pick as well.

Since last week, trade rumors have been involving Chalmers as the Heat look to shed salary in an effort to avoid the repeater luxury tax. Miami's payroll sits at $91.8 million, removing Chalmers' $4.3-million price tag would save Miami nearly 6 million in tax payments. Beno Udrih's value the the Heat comes from his expiring contract.

The Memphis Grizzlies hope Chalmers will provide an upgrade over Udrih at backup point guard to Mike Conley. The two point guards have been comparable statistically this season, while Chalmers, once a semi reliable 3-point shooter, has came back alive during the past two season from behind the arc.

Chalmers will be missed in Miami. Let's  remember the good times.

LeBron James was not having it from Mario Chalmers on this night.

Chris Bosh let Chalmers have it ... Entertaining Joakim Noah in the process
But that's OK, because President Barack Obama had Mario's back when the team visited the White House.

Chamlers forgot he was on live TV as a rookie

Chalmers also could win a flop award with the best of them

Chalmers and Bosh teamed up not only on the court but after as well for an epic video bomb.

See ya, Rio!!

DeMarcus Cousins to be sidelined additional 2 games and will be re-evaluated Sunday

The Sacramento Kings' president Vlade Divac told reporters Monday, DeMarcus Cousins will be sidelined for the next two games to rest his strained right Achilles.

DeMarcus Cousins sustained the injury during Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Cousins scored 13 points through 15 minutes of action before exiting in the second quarter due to discomfort in his foot (sore Achilles) as told by announcers during the game.

The Kings best player, was missed during the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers as the scoring load was put on Forward Rudy Gay's shoulders for the remainder of the game.

DeMarcus Cousins is coming off a career-year last season, as he averaged 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.7 blocks in 59 games played. Cousins performance has him being called the best Center in the game today while he earned his first All-Star Game appearance, and he was named to the All-NBA Second Team.

Cousins will miss the next two games vs the Memphis Grizzlies on the road (Tuesday, Nov. 3) and vs the Phoenix Suns at home (Wednesday Nov. 4). He will return on a road game vs the Houston Rockets (Friday, Nov. 6).
